- SK Today Commander
Q: What is SK Today Commander? A: SK Today Commander is used to manage different Today screen configurations (profiles), and to switch them easily.
Q: Why do I need multiple Today profiles? A: Here are some examples (of course, this is not a complete range of usage scenarios): - you have a lot of Today plugins, and they won't fit on Today screen simultaneously. - each plugin needs some RAM to work, and you want to release additional RAM sometimes (e.g. for a resource-demanding game). In this case, you can create a profile with a minimum set of plugins, or even with no plugins at all, and switch to that profile when needed. - some plugins (usually those that work with PIM) are displaying personal information on Today screen, which you don't want to be displayed all the time so that others couldn't accidentally see it. - you like to keep everything (including your plugins) organized by categories.
Q: How does it work? A: - In a few words, SK Today Commander emulates the operations you would do yourself to enable or disable plugins manually. It's much faster and far more comfortable.
Q: What is a profile? A: A profile contains information about a specific Today screen configuration: the list of enabled plugins, the plugins display order, and selected Today screen theme.
Q: How many profiles can I maintain? A: Up to 9 profiles.
Q: What if I don't need that many profiles? A: You can disable unnecessary profiles.
Q: How do I switch profiles? A: There are several ways to do it: - use SK Today Commander's main window - use a special Today plugin - use the bottom tray on Today screen - use a shortcut in any program launcher or menu (SK Today Commander has its own tool to create shortcuts)
Q: How do I enable icons in the bottom tray? A: Select Profile-Control-Start/Close traybar tool menu item.
Q: How do I enable SK Today Commander's Today plugin? A: Check SKTC for the profiles where you want to see SK Today Commander plugin, then apply any profile with SKTC enabled.
Q: How do I use the profile switcher plugin? A: The plugin has two operation modes: - Digits - the plugin displays numbers of all enabled profiles. Tap a number to switch to the corresponding profile. - Text - the plugin displays current profile's name and Left/Right buttons. Tap the buttons to scroll through the list of enabled profiles; tap a profile's name to switch to that profile. Double-tap in any mode to open SK Today Commander's main window.

The key location of shortcuts is the Start Menu (\Windows\Start Menu), but they can be located elsewhere.
Q: Why i cannot set icon from ICO file? A: You can select icons from exe, dll, cpl , png (only for WM6.5+) files. Other types are not supported by the system.
